Ok wow! I have fine curly hair which I hate! I’ve never been able to get it straight until now! I was a bit worried as there’s one button on the Chronos, the power button, but then knowing they adjust to movement ensuring you’re always at 185degrees, I am literally finished in 5 minutes! Swivel cord helps with manoeuvrability Time to heat up and turn off: 15 seconds to heat up 3 seconds to turn off 1st use on freshly clean hair - approx 12mins to straighten medium - long medium/fine hair to sleek straight clean hair On the thicker parts it took 2/3 go overs, but generally one compared to my old straighteners. Previous straighteners too about 15-20 for full straight style 2nd use on clean hair - usually my hair looks greasy after straightening on the 2nd day after washing however it still looks as shiny and sleek as it did yesterday. 3rd use on 2 day old clean hair - still achieved desired results, hair less shiny as 3rd day since washing but straighteners still up to the job of styling. My only criticism is the length of the plates and tops of the style, it curves differently to other straighteners and is almost missing the longer plates for styling which I'm accustomed to from previous GHDs so my personal preference would be to keep the longer plates for maximum styling as I did find I had to redo some bits I'd missed where the plates weren't long enough for the sections of hair. This is entirely personal preference hence the 4 stars not 5. Value for money - the price is quite high at £299 compared to the other stylers however these are more advanced and efficient to use, keep a style longer than usual and relatively effortless to use. I'd be more inclined to buy these on offer than pay full price. Having said all that, I would recommend these styles as an upgrade to the standard styles as they are easy to use, light to hold, glide effortlessly generally and provide great results with hair styling.

I have been using the ghd Deluxe Helios Gift Set and honestly, it feels like a salon-quality setup at home. The presentation alone is stunning — the tools come in a beautiful vanity case that makes it feel super luxe. The hair dryer is incredibly powerful but still lightweight. It dries my hair so fast without making it frizzy, and it leaves it soft and shiny every time. I’ve noticed I can rough-dry and still get a really smooth finish — something I’ve never managed with cheaper dryers. The straightener is equally impressive. It glides through my hair effortlessly with zero snagging, and the results actually last all day. My hair looks sleek and glossy, and it cuts my styling time in half. It’s not my favorite for curling (the plates are super smooth, so the hair can slip out a bit), but for straight styles it’s unbeatable. Both tools heat up quickly, feel premium, and the automatic shut-off is a nice safety touch. Yes, it’s definitely an investment, but if you style your hair regularly and want pro-level results, this set is so worth it. My hair has honestly never looked healthier or shinier.

So I'm a GHD girl through and through but have been a solid platinum+ fan for a number of years having tried some of the earlier models like the gold and finding the platinum+ to be much better. I have fine, colour treated and pretty fragile hair. Anyway, my last pair of GHDs were getting on for 4 years old and having 3 teen daughters I was getting fed up of having to hunt round bedrooms to find my straighteners so decided it was time to get myself a new pair. After some deliberation I decided to try the Chronos (mainly thanks to the money back guarantee so if I didn't like them as much as the trusty platinum+ my plan was to send them back - I mean its a LOT of money either way!). Well I have to say I wasn't expecting 'much' difference but there is a clear and noticeable difference to the shine and ease of getting a soft curl using the chronos plus it seems to take less passes which can only help my hair condition. So yes, I am super-high maintenance when it comes to my hair and these absolutely were worth the change and money!

I absolutely love these straighteners , providing the most perfect curl with a hold that lasts all day . When straightening only one pass through the hair is required . I can get so close to the root and it lasts forever . I feel like I have salon professionally done hair but with minimal effort, utterly phenomenal!
