STEP-BY-STEPS
STEP BY STEPS
Prep the hair with product
Spritz dry locks with ghd curl hold spray for long-lasting waves.
Take a section from the right-hand side of the head
At the hairline, take a 4cm-wide section of hair from the right-hand side of your parting and clip it up and out of the way to help make curling easier.
Place the styler below a small section of hair
From the remaining section of hair below, take a one to two-inch section and place the ghd curve® creative curl wand underneath it near the root.
Twist wrap the hair around the wand and hold
Wind the section of hair around the barrel of the styler and hold for five to eight seconds.
Drop the curl into your hand to set
Drop and cup the curl in your hand to allow it to cool and set.
Place the styler above the hair and repeat the technique
Take the next section of hair and now place the styler at the root above the piece. Use the same twist wrap and drop technique from steps four and five.
Continue working in small sections
Repeat steps two to six through your locks until you’ve created a full mane of curls. Alternating the wand above and below the sections will give you a more natural, textured finish.
Take two sections of hair from either side
At your hairline, take two sections
Divide the right-hand section into three and plait
Take the right-hand section, divide it into three and use a classic plaiting technique to braid it all the way to the ends.
Secure with an elastic
Use a hair tie to secure the plait.
Repeat on the opposite side
On the left-hand side, repeat steps nine and 10.
Pinch and pull both braids
Use your fingers to gently pinch and pull both braids to fatten them.
Take the braids and wrap around to the back
Pick up the braids and bring them around to the back of the head.
Bring them together and tie into a simple knot
Take a braid and bring it over the other braid, loop it under and create a simple knot. Use hair pins to secure the plaits in place.
Pinch the roots to loosen
Finish off this half up hairstyle by pinching the roots with your fingers to loosen the crown section and create volume.
