Terms and Conditions - ghd Style Squad

1. Introduction
1.1. This document sets out the terms and conditions (“Terms”) that apply to participation in the ghd Style Squad program (“Style Squad Application”) via Email stylesquad@ghdhair.com.
1.2. The promoter is Jemella Limited trading as ghd of 82-83 Dean St, London, United Kingdom, W1D 3SP (“ghd”).
1.3. By providing your Style Squad Application, all applicants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility and how to enter
2.1. The Style Squad Application is open to stylists in the UK and Ireland, in accordance with the table attached here to as Exhibit A, but is not open to employees of ghd, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration and award of the successful application. No purchase is necessary. ghd may require proof that an entrant is eligible to submit a Style Squad Application.
2.2. The application process will run from 5th March 2025 to 1st April 2025 at 5 pm (the “Application Period”). Any entries received outside the Application Period will not be eligible for consideration.
2.3. To submit a Style Squad Application, applicants must : comply with the requirements set out in the table in Exhibit A.
2.5. Applicants may not enter or upload any content which: contains any third party’s trademarks or intellectual property rights; infringes upon any third party’s rights; or is offensive, pornographic, illegal, unlawful or which, in ghd’s sole opinion, reflects negatively on the ghd or its products. By submitting your applications, you agree to indemnify ghd against any third-party claims for copyright infringement.
2.6. Applications and any connected content submitted with your application containing any commercial logos, web addresses and any other commercial content will not be considered eligible.
2.7. ghd may disqualify any applications without notice or explanation if it contains anything that the ghd regards, in its sole discretion, to be offensive or obscene in any way or to not be in compliance with these Terms.
3. Successful Applicants
3.1. There will be up to 10 applications that ghd, in its sole discretion, will choose to be a part of the Style Squad program. Successful applicants will be notified by ghd via email no later than 30th May 2025.
3.3. If a successful applicant does not respond to ghd within 4 days of the ghd’s email, then the applicant’s spot in the Style Squad program will be forfeited and ghd will be entitled to select another applicant in accordance with the process described above.
3.4. A successful applicant will have deemed to have forfeited its spot in the Style Squad if such applicant is found to be ineligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Terms. In the event an applicant is deemed to have forfeited its spot on the Style Squad, ghd may choose a new applicant to join the Style Squad.
4. Privacy and publicity
4.1. As a result of an applicant’s participation in the Style Squad program, ghd will collect certain personal data relating to the applicants (including where appropriate, photographic or other personal identification in order to verify the identity of the applicant). The information will be processed in accordance with the ghd’s privacy policy at https://www.ghdhair.com/about-ghd/terms-and-conditions. By submitting your application, (and/or accepting a spot on the Style Squad if you are selected) you consent to such processing and you confirm that all data provided by you is truthful and accurate.
4.2 Successful applicants agree to take part in publicity to advertise the Style Squad and their membership. Such promotion may take the form of interviews, attending events and advertising on the ghd’s website and social media pages.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1. All applications submitted must be the original work of the applicant submitting them, who must be the copyright holder.
5.2. ghd may, in their sole discretion, make your submission available on its website and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity. You grant ghd a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in the submission and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
6. General
6.1. The decision of ghd regarding any aspect of the Style Squad promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
6.2. ghd reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Style Squad program at any time where it becomes necessary to do so. Any changes will be communicated on ghd’s website.
6.3. These Terms are governed by English law and all applicants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
6.6. In so far as it is permitted by law, ghd will not be responsible or liable to compensate any successful applicant or accept any liability for any loss, damages, injury, costs or expenses suffered or incurred by applicants in relation to the submission of their application and participation in the Style Squad. Your statutory rights are not affected.
6.7. ghd accepts no responsibility for applications not successfully completed or received for any reason including due to equipment failure, technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, systems, satellite network, software, hardware or server failure of any kind. If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs, ghd does not take any responsibility for incomplete entries or entries not received for any reason. ghd will not accept proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry into the competition
