How to Create Stunning Water Waves with ease
Step by step hair by Sarah Magusara
The chronos water wave is inspired by the waves of the ocean. The peaks and crevasses in the hair emulate a large rippling effect, leaving the hair with a natural beachy finish. Experience faster styling with the NEW GHD CHRONOS, for 3x faster styling¹ and HD results that last for 24 hours².
STEP-BY-STEPS
STEP 1. PREP
Mist the hair with ghd bodyguard heat protect spray for coloured hair.
STEP 2. BRUSH AND SECTION THE HAIR
Section the hair into four quadrants. Starting at the back of head, take inch size horizontal sections.
STEP 3. CREATE WATER WAVE
Angle the ghd chronos horizontally and place into the hair at the root. Rotate the styler 45 degrees towards the head, then turn it the opposite direction 90 degrees.
STEP 4. CONTINUE
Repeat this motion sliding towards the tip of the hair. TIPS: For the ends of the hair, these look best straight rather than flicked out or turned under.
STEP 5. SECTION BY SECTION
Repeat this waving technique until you reach the ends of the hair.
STEP 6. STYLE THE BANG
TOP TIP: For curtain bangs, only 1-2 water waves is required.
STEP 7. FINISH
To finish, apply ghd sleek talker styling oil for smoothness and shine.
