HOW TO CREATE THE CURLY PONYTAIL

1. Prep hair with ghd curl hold spray

2. Section the hair

3. Place the ghd curve® creative curl wand under the hair

4. Wrap hair around the barrel

5. Release the curl into hand

6. Curl the next section in the alternate direction

7. Continue curling around the head

8. Dress out hair with a comb

9. Pull hair into a pony

10. Pull on the hair around the head to loosen

11. Hide hair elastic

12. Finish with accessories

PREP HAIR WITH GHD CURL HOLD SPRAY

Apply ghd curl hold spray throughout the hair

SECTION THE HAIR

Section hair at the back of the head from ear to ear

PLACE THE GHD CURVE® CREATIVE CURL WAND UNDER THE HAIR

On a sub-section, place the ghd curve® creative curl wand under the hair, pointing downwards

WRAP HAIR AROUND THE BARREL

Twist wrap the hair around the barrel and hold for 5 – 8 seconds

RELEASE THE CURL INTO THE HAND

Release the curl into hand and allow to cool and set for 3 seconds

CURL THE NEXT SECTION IN THE ALTERNATE DIRECTION

On the next section, place the ghd curve® creative curl wand on top of the hair in order to alternate the direction of the curl

CONTINUE CURLING AROUND THE HEAD

Continue curling the hair remembering to alternating direction of the curl for a more textured finish

DRESS OUT HAIR WITH A COMB

Once all the hair is curled, comb through with the ghd detangling comb to break up the texture

PULL HAIR INTO A PONY

Pull the hair back into a low pony, leaving a 2inch deep section at either side of the face loose

PULL ON THE HAIR AROUND THE HEAD TO LOOSEN

Gently pull on the hair around the head to loosen, make the style wider, and add texture

HIDE HAIR ELASTIC

Take a section of hair from and wrap it around the base of the pony to hide the hair elastic, securing in place with hair grips
